The Texas Business Group on Health is dedicated to supporting employers
and employer coalitions across the state in their quest for affordable and high-quality health care. TBGH represents Texas employers' positions on proposed changes in state and federal health policy through an ongoing dialogue with employers, health insurers, health care providers and government.

 

 



Founded in 1985 as a not-for-profit corporation, TBGH is recognized as the voice of business regarding employer-sponsored health care in Texas and a guiding influence and leader in health care policy development. Today, the Texas Business Group on Health includes 175 member employers that are also members of eight regional business groups on health. These companies employ approximately 450,000 Texas workers and spend about $20 billion on health care for these employees and their families each year.

The DFW Business Group on Health is a regional, employer-sponsored healthcare coalition that brings together leaders and decision makers from a variety of businesses. DFWBGH has 110 members representing approximately 500,000 employees, spouses and family members. Major employers represented include American Airlines, Bell Helicopter Textron, EDS, ExxonMobil, Frito-Lay, JC Penney, Southwest Airlines, Texas Instruments, TXU and Verizon. Together, these 110 companies spend approximately $1.2 billion annually on health care for their DFW employees alone.
